Mooka Oysters is a family owned and operated business, running parallel to the Eyre Island, South Australia with a focus on creating a premium, exclusive product.

Kenny Bascomb has spent his entire working life in the ocean, from the age of 16 to present day. Born out of his love of the sea, Kenny started his Abalone business in 1983, collecting the biggest and best abalone in the world. However, it soon came time to try a new product. Kenny searched for the cleanest and most sustainable ocean product available and discovered oysters in 2001.

The entire Bascomb family is involved in the business, every step of the way. We walk in the water, load and drive the boats, and check every oyster before they are sold. Kenny works with his sons and daughter to ensure the benchmark for quality of our products and longevity of the business.

We are Australian Government approved and 100% privately owned. When you deal with Mooka Oysters, you are dealing directly with the Bascomb family.

We adhere to sustainable farming practices and we are working to support the local community in which we live, so as to leave a legacy for future generations.
